Thomas is a collaborative lawyer, mediator and solicitor. He is a partner at Goodman Ray. Thomas lives in Brighton and divides his time working between Goodman Ray’s offices in Brighton and London. Goodman Ray are a specialist family firm dealing with a wide range of family issues.
Thomas specialises in any issues arising from the breakdown of a relationship between married couples, civil partners and unmarried couples. These may be discussing any division of individual or joint assets, how they should proceed with a separation, or where any children should live. His cases often involve an international element, in particular where there are links to Spain, as he speaks Spanish.
Thomas qualified as a solicitor in 2009, and has always focused on trying to resolve cases by minimising conflict and having face to face discussions where possible. He is an accredited mediator as well as a collaborative lawyer. He is a trained child inclusive mediator and will regularly see children as part of the mediation process. His preferred approach to family disputes is to promote a constructive, forward-focused dialogue as a route to resolving issues amicably.
He is an active member of Resolution, sits on the board of the Family Mediators Association and recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners HNW. He is an accredited specialist for high-net worth financial matters and private children issues.
